| But it all comes back to this being the internet. I have flamed people on here and then met them in person and gotten along great with them. I have flamed people on here and met them in person and they didn't like me. I really didn't care. I speak my mind here like i would anywhere else. But I don't let things on here bother me...at all. People take things on here WAY too personally. It's funny actually. When I leave my computer, I could care less about what was said about anything, I don't think about it. But some people lack the ability to not be bothered by words typed by someone they don't know 1000 miles away. Like I said before, people who get bent about words said on the internet are sad people. I respect other people's opinions, really. But I don't have to agree with them. And I have every bit as much right to post my opinion in disagreement as someone has to post theirs in agreement. People don't like to hear negative things. Thats too bad, because the real world (not MTV) is not all roses. People will disagree with you, and they will tell you. Surely you know this. In any event, I agree that the flaming gets outta hand sometimes. But I also admit I laugh at it more than anything. To me it is funny watching people lose it over a stupid car forum, call me insensetive. But whatever. I still think it is necessary to let new members know where they stand. If they are smart about things, they won't get flamed. Simple as that. "So with that being said good luck out there in the real world, because some don't forget and don't even post here, just read it over and over and over............" Please stop with the idle threats and subtle hints. They are stupid and lame. Again, if someone gets bent about things said on the internet, enough to hold a grudge, they are sad people. And you can email that qoute to each and every one of them if you feel so inclined. When I meet people in person, it's a fresh slate. Doesn't matter what interaction I have had with them on the forum. I'm looking forward to meeting tons of people next year in LA, you included. So tell the "silent majority" to lighten up and take a Prozac. Also, my dad played in the NFL for 5 years in the 70's, when it was still a man's game. And if you think they didn't talk trash back then, you are sorely mistaken. It was 10 times as bad as it is now. And it was before the 'protect the quarterback, helmet to helmet, no taunting' pansi-ass style of rules of todays game. The game has been deminished from what it once was. Any former player will tell you that. You described golf.
